Tuesday 20th June, 7pm Tavistock United Reformed Church, Russell St. The evening includes our AGM – a chance to take stock, affirm the vision and plan for the future. We welcome the filmmaker Bryony Stokes of Cornwall Climate Care to present and discuss lead the 30 minute documentary “Food for Thought”covering regenerative farming, climate change and nutritious local food.
Entry free, thanks to sponsorship of the film showing by local firm Wings Accountants, but donations towards wider costs appreciated, as are new membership subscriptions (only £5pa).
An AGM with a difference: time to refocus ourselves, to begin to reimagine how Transition Tavistock can respond even more effectively and creatively to the environmental and climate emergencies. Help us create this new future by bringing your head (knowledge), heart (passion) and hands (plans). 21st June, 7pm at Tavistock United Reformed Church. Free, and open to all, but if you are not already a member, why not join up on the night (subscription £5 a year) to show your support?
In consultation with Learn Devon we have decided to postpone the workshop about how to engage people in responding to climate change, previously announced for 8th December. We hope to reschedule this in 2022. Meanwhile we will signpost relevant resources on our Climate Matters page.
Sadly we have had to pause this course after the first week in line with Learn Devon’s COVID-19 response. But do take a look at what Climate Outreach are doing, including the impressive Climate Visuals collection. More updates in our monthly e-news.
