We work through Groups and Projects which are led by members who feel they have the time, energy and support to progress an initiative that supports our vision and mission.

These may grow into independent organisations we work with, as Tamar Energy Community developed from our Energy Group; and Tavistock Community Gardening from our Roots to Transition project.

Or they may involve other stakeholders in demonstrating ideas for change, as in our research on food and energy which informed the Tavistock and District Local Economic Blueprint.

Current activities include:

• encouraging effective conversations on climate change 
• promoting sustainable transport through our Travel Action Group
• reading and debating books with a vision for a more sustainable world
