Since 31st August 2025 the #1 bus from Tavistock to Plymouth no longer stops close to Plymouth Railway Station – a real blow for passengers with luggage, children, limited mobility or just in a hurry. If you’re planning a bus + train trip, allow extra time and check route using the Stagecoach route planner. Our Travel Action Group would like to see better bus and rail connections. That helps everyone, including those not using public transport, as it reduces road traffic. We encourage people affected to tell the bus company, their Devon County or Plymouth City Councillor and us why it matters to them, and to join us in pushing for something better.
